Man it makes no sense for a broswer to delete ALL your data when you reset you password. Chrome never did this to me. I'll never use firefox a day in my life.

hell no,you want to keep a password safe and sound,and stayed with you? best to formulate one in a provided notepad software offline,or the old fashioned paperwork, and keep them where only you know where it is.

Gelbooru, for reasons I assume to be partially due to the small staff, seem to have zero interest in pursuing useful features like this.

So it's highly unlikely it'll be added.

These things can happen to people. They do one thing and don't expect the next thing to happen.

I don't think OP should've reformatted either, but I don't know all the details behind what happened with OP's computer.

And that's why he got that kind of response. Also you should remember the password of your accounts. He didnt knew the pass of Gel, he didn't knew the pass of firefox. He used the reset password option and nuked the data of his firefox account.

I blame him, for wiping his own data, because he wiped his own fucking data, when he shouldn't had done that. He took the easy route to solve the issue and he is now paying for that.

He should had booted the PC on safe mode and backup his data, or use something like a winpe mini windows or something similar and backup his data. Formatting everything is the last resort. You should never use that option without doing a backup first.

Yeah, whatever, maybe so, but you don't have to be a dick about it.

OP wasn't even complaining about it at this point, he had a valid suggestion for a site feature to be added in case unexpected happens to their computer/account.

This is his third thread crying about the consequences of his actions. Also the "my browser deleted my data" infuriated me because he was the one that deleted his own fucking data in the first place.

Dude, chill out. It's not that serious.

OP shouldn't have reformatted his PC, sure, but mistakes and accidents happen, and there's a reason why account retrieval features exist.

And sure, I'd say that it probably isn't really necessary for a hentai imageboard site, but things do happen and these would save from people from losing their account in cases like this.

Again it's not "crying about the consequences" if it's inquiring about a broader subject that came about from it.
